Under the leadership of Jim Green, CEO of Analogic Corp., and Mike Bonney, CEO of Cubist Pharmaceuticals, the Cost Competitiveness Team has revised and will sustain annual updates to the MHTC State Tax Competitiveness Study (first produced in 2008); analyze data and identify top policy priorities; identify and draft legislative proposals; and execute a policy strategy in accordance with the selected competitiveness priorities. In collaboration with several state and quasi-state agencies DTI will continue the New England Defense Sector Study project with incremental reports, and continue to work in collaboration with the Task Force to protect and grow Mass. military installation missions.  We will continue to organize Mass. leadership and stakeholders around key defense investment areas, including cyber security, to create opportunities despite declining federal budgets.  We will continue to identify and advocate for key policies aimed at lowering the cost of doing business in Mass., improving education and workforce development focused on STEM, and for key programs such as the F-35 which has a tremendous supply chain tail throughout Mass. and New England.
