The Massachusetts High Technology Council’s founding origins trace back to the Digital Equipment, Data General and Wang days. Today, we represent senior executive leadership representative of our diverse technology, professional services, and higher education economy.
Our mission is to advocate on behalf of the technology community for public policies and programs to create and maintain a healthy and competitive business climate in Massachusetts. Our success over the past 37 years is closely associated with the size of the footprint of our membership and the collective intelligence that this community has been able to bring to Beacon Hill and elsewhere in support of the mission-driven policy issues in which we are critically interested. For example, Council members wrote the R&D Tax Credit Law in l992 and led efforts to defeat the Tech Tax in 2013.
