The Innovation Access Network (IAN) (www.innovationaccess.org) is an initiative of the Mass. High Tech Council consisting primarily of a web portal designed to:
- Provide more efficient access to the growing number of small highly innovative technology firms across the country for both military and civilian government clients (led by U.S. Army Natick Soldier, Research, Development and Engineering Center (NSRDEC)) and large technology firms; and to
- Accelerate and enhance the technology pipeline by providing a clearinghouse where innovation stakeholders including research institutions and small, large, emerging and established technology ventures can connect to promote, locate, request, and respond to requests for innovative technologies.

IAN users create content by posting technology offerings or requests in a searchable database. Users searching the database can request to make a connection to the company or organization that created the posting by registering. Posting users will also need to become full members before they benefit from connection requests. Subscriber costs are variable based on desired capabilities.
Users, both public and subscribers alike, also benefit from a customizable alert service that generates notifications as new postings are added to the database. At its core, IAN leverages advanced social media and matchmaking capabilities to deliver custom user experiences to create connective synergies throughout the technology pipeline with the goals of achieving efficiency, promoting growth and expanding value for all.
