Tech Vets
Supporting Those Who Serve Our NationTech Vets, a Massachusetts High Technology Council Diversity, Equity & Opportunity Initiative, is committed to supporting U.S. military veteran hiring and retention objectives for employers.
Reinforcing Our Commitment to Veterans
At the 45th Annual Meeting in May 2022, the Council announced the relaunch of Tech Vets, reinforcing our commitment to the people who serve our nation.
Through a new partnership between the Council, Monster, and Home Base, a Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Program, Tech Vets aims to educate employers on the value of US military veteran hiring, as well as providing resources and expertise for transitioning military as they begin their civilian careers.

A leader in providing veteran hiring and recruitment tools and solutions, MHTC Member Monster’s online defense news publication, Military.com, is the largest online publisher of military and veteran-related news, advice, and resources. In April 2022, Monster became the official job board of the Boston Red Sox. Through Home Base, this partnership couples Monster’s veteran hiring expertise and the Red Sox Foundation’s philanthropic efforts to create opportunities for employers and job seekers to learn more about veteran hiring.
Working directly with the Council’s Tech Vets initiative, Monster is able to fulfill its mission of connecting people with jobs by offering some of the top employers in Massachusetts access to a valuable talent pool—transitioning military and their families.
The collaborative effort will focus on two critical aspects of veteran hiring and feature events catered to employers and candidates:
Training and credentialing of employers: Introduce area employers to the value of veteran hiring, best practices in recruiting and onboarding veterans and transitioning Military, and how to create a military-friendly company culture
Veteran candidate education and job-search preparation: Explain skills translation, résumé prep, and adapting to civilian workplace culture
The U.S. Tech Vets Initiative
U.S. Tech Vets is a U.S. technology industry career portal created to connect Veterans, including transitioning military personnel and their spouses, with meaningful jobs in America’s technology industry. U.S. Tech Vets is a collaborative effort focused on reducing Veteran and military spouse unemployment and giving technology industry companies improved access to American’s Veteran workforce.

The technology industry is one of America’s fastest-growing business sectors and is hungry for high-quality Veteran talent. Through USTechVets.org, Veterans can build and post their resumes to where tech employers can view them. Veterans can also search for and view jobs with employers who are actively seeking to connect with and hire them.
With about 250,000 Veterans transitioning to civilian life annually, U.S. Tech Vets provides a way for the technology community to find and hire top-quality talent. Through their membership in technology associations, thousands of employers can promote their jobs to American Veterans. Employers can also search America’s largest resume database of over one million resumes to find quality Veteran talent.
